POSITION: PROGRAM MANAGER – LEGISLATIVE ASSISTANT TO MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FELLOWSHIP

The Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship is a one of its kind program that provides an opportunity for young Indians to be mentored by a Member of Parliament. Started in 2010 the fellowship is in its fifth year and is one the most coveted fellowship programs in the country.

Core responsibilities: The LAMP Program Manager is expected to provide strategic direction and strengthen the brand and of the Fellowship. He/She will be responsible for planning and executing all activities of the Fellowship, including managing the application, training and academic exposure of 50 Fellows. He/She would continually engage with Members of Parliament who are part of the fellowship, and partner with institutions and experts to strengthen the academic aspects of the fellowship. Through the year, he/she would provide guidance, monitor progress and provide mentor LAMP Fellows.

Abilities required: (a) Strategic planning and strong execution skills; (b) Understanding of Indian governance system and interest in parliamentary functioning; (c) Ability to lead a team; (d) Strong interpersonal skills; (e) Ability to develop professional relationships with various stakeholders, including MPs, thought leaders, academicians, NGO leaders, etc; (f) Good understanding of brand management; (g)Excellent oral communication skills.

Qualifications sought: Masters degree or equivalent. 3 + years experience of leading a team.

Location: New Delhi.

Emoluments offered: Flexible depending on qualifications and ability.
